TWO new trails have been added to South Oxfordshire District Council’s “visit Midsomer” website.
The trails are designed to encourage fans of the Midsomer Murders TV series to visit the area where it was filmed, helping to support local businesses and jobs.
The new southern trail takes in Peppard Primary School, known as Badgers Primary School in the programme, while the northern trail includes Watlington library, which was Causton library on screen.
Councillor Bill Service, cabinet member for leisure and tourism, said: “Midsomer Murders attracts a global audience and the new trails will help draw attention to South Oxfordshire and encourage more visitors as well as those living nearby to get out and explore a bit more.”
According to research, tourism contributes more than £222million a year to South Oxfordshire’s economy and supports more than 3,700 jobs
